how long do you wait after shooting corrosive ammo before you clean the firearm?
If it's less than a couple days, you're probably alright. (I say probably because there's going to be someone who disagrees, because it's the internets.)

Yes Sir, just picked up an AK-601 CLHF barrel from them. Saved $40 with the Laborday coupon. $170 shipped.
How do these stack up against the Romy barrels that everyone raves about?
Plan on using this on the Hungarian build.

the journals on the 601 barrel dont match with the akm rsb/gb/fsb. The only thing that matches is the chamber/trunnion journal (23mm).

So this barrel is not compatible? I could probably still cancel the order if it will not work with my kit. What available chrome lined barrels will work?

Cancelled the order for the 601 barrel, although I could have kept it for my milled Bulgarian SAM7 as a back-up. Learned a lot from my mistake in the process. Going with the Green Mountain 1975 barrel now. Everything I read has been positive so far.
Finally finished de-milling my kit today too. Had a few stubborn pins that wouldn't come out using a hammer and punch. So I had to resort to using a bench vise to press them out.

I picked up one of those 179.99 ak63d kits from s&g that doesn't come with a barrel, I was going to use this on my polish underfolder flat from akbuilder.com.
Can you guys recommend me a good barrel for this kit? and any other parts I might need,
So far I just have the bent flat and the parts kit.

is anyone bringing any end mills for barrel/trunnion pin installations?
so you didn't like drilling for barrel pin with that dull bit?

I will bring a bit and an endmill for .300 barrel pins.
I have a reamer for .302 pins too, which always helps for the second time when you really have it figured out!
