These incumbents are all strong anti 2A. I doubt they can be converted. :mad54: They need to be ousted!

I don't know about the newcomer.

Yes, I agree. Turner and Pendergrass need to answer for tax increases.

If I'm reading the spreadsheet correctly (http://www.mdshooters.com/showpost.php?p=2342723&postcount=9) I think Turner actually voted FOR the tougher penalty amendment. Pendergrass voted against. IS THAT CORRECT?

Was that amendment sponsored by Wilson (283721/02)?

I don't like to do analysis because statistics can mean anything you want them to mean. However, looking at the 2010 General Results:

    Guy Guzzone (D) 27140
    Shane Pendergrass (D) 25894
    Frank S. Turner (D) 24823
    Loretta Gaffney (R) 14844
    Ed Priola (R) 16225
    Jeff Robinson (R) 14680
    Other Write-Ins 91

It would seem to me that had there been ONE Republican candidate, that person MAY have been able to unseat any of the three Dems.

As a side note, if Loretta Gaffney can't win in District 13, then no one on a split Republican ticket can win. I guess voters in Liberal Utopia simply look for the (D) after the name.

I note that Mr. Danny Eaton is running as a Republican for 2014. I'm not sure if Ms. Gaffney will give it another run. I believe she ran in 2006 AND 2010, so I might expect her to run in 2014.

Wouldn't be nice to send Turner home and Eiland in via DINO and get Pendergrass out and Eaton or Gaffney (if she runs) into the State House? Almost a clean sweep - Siddiqui WILL get in - there is no doubt about it. She could run for County Executive and get it.

Pendergrass thinks email autoresponders waste paper so her office never responds.

We have Turner on video Feb. 7th trying to lie his way out of something he wrote then ranting he didn't care what his constituents think he'll vote how he feels.

Guzzone NEVER responds to email because he just doesn't care for anything but his ass in that seat.

Perhaps comments and strategy should be moved to the Water Cooler or even PM...

Updated some information for Fred Eiland. Please read the Sun story. He says he switched party affiliation sometime in 2011/2012 - from Republican to Democrat.

Anyone have any good questions to ask him? I thought about seeing if he would give a statement about 2A and the FSA 2013 (aka SB281).

Personally, I would like to hear what he has to say about the Rain Tax, Gas Tax, teacher pensions, and Common Core...

Perhaps a very good DINO choice come June? Would love to see Turner or Pendergrass face when one of them loses in the primaries!

We have some changes on the Democratic side. Janet Siddiqui, of the Board of Education, dropped out of the race. To replace her, another Siddiqui, Nayab, has registered. I wonder if the last name recognition alone will propel Nayab to the general.

    Also, Vanessa Atterbeary has registered.

That makes 5 Dems for 3 seats. If the goal of Operation DINO is to punish the incumbents, we can vote against Pendergrass and Turner and get a new crew of Dem's to the general. Unfortunately for us caught behind enemy lines in District 13, the Dem's that make it to the general will probably be elected.

On the Republican side, we have 3 candidates with the addition of Jimmy Williams and Chris Yates.

Fortunately, we also have a Republican challenger for the Senate, so Guy Guzzone is an automatic shoe-in. Jody Venkatesan has stepped up to challenge Guzzone.
