      Scope and ring ideas

      Couple months ago snagged a a Ruger Ranch in 7.62 × 39. First Bolt gun that needs a scope. I have No clue. Well looking at the Vortex Crossfire 11 4x12x50. Would like to be able to see holes on paper at 100 yds. Basically just a fun 100 yd range rifle that if needed ,could put food on the table.

      Crowning an AK barrel

      AT work its a little slow so I figured I would do some searching. If you have a barrel crowned say for target shooting. Does it effect the longevity for a SHTF scenario ? Read somewhere the barrel should be heat treated so under continuous fire it doesn't stress the muzzle. Any truth ...

      Hey guys, picked up my XD Monday,got to to Bakers today. I shot 50 rnds through it, not many,but was shooting extremely low,any suggestions ? Also had the Lancaster 47 and the Yugo out, man I felt pretty good with those today.

      My SGL 20 and 21 muzzle breaks were a little loose so I put a drop on each of the threads. is it safe to say when I take them to the range again once warmed up I'll be able to unscrew them again ?

      Finally got a chance to take her out today. Shoots high as hell. Bolt is alittle gritty,tight. Noticed after about 40 or so rounds had a failure to feed the last 2 rounds,had to unload it and put the 2 back in and was ok.
