      PA Permit

Thank you, and yes, this is correct. Due to Wol's unending State of Emergencies, a PA LTCF or recognized alternative is required for ANY form of carry (or transport for the purpose of carry) while the SoE is in effect. And he keeps renewing them as they expire. Go figure.

      PA Permit

A slight correction. Philly cannot "make their own rules" just because they are a city of the first class. That determination has been made by the PA State Legislature, not Philadelphia.

      Harrisburg 2A Rally 5/22/17

Sorry for the confusion Ed; no, I was not able to attend this year. And with such a strong group of supporters coming all the way up from Maryland I really wanted to. It was just a hokey way of letting you know I could be found lurking here too. These guys are really serious about their...

      License fee reduced

^This is also true for York County. Gary, although an applicant must appear in person to pick up their license, one may still apply via the U.S. Mail. If they're busy and can't complete the process on the spot then you are merely dropping it off and leaving. No sense driving there for that...

Are referals still needed for LTCF?

York used to issue while you wait, but things got to the point where the lines were just too long. You don't have to go twice, just mail in the app and wait a day or 2, they'll mail a letter to you telling you to come get it. That's when they take your pic and hand you your LTCF.

MDers moved to PA - Transfer Delays??

Pure BS (not you). I was born/raised in Baltimore County and spent almost 50 years of my life there. My wife was born in Bermuda and has dual citizenship with England and grew up in New York. None of our PICS checks have ever taken more than 5 minutes. I don't think I'd be going back to...

Pros and Cons of living in PA?

Its been about a week and you have not had any response. Try joining either PA2A.org or PAFOA.org, even if its just for this question. You'll get more responses, and much more quickly. plenty of truck drivers on both.

      Non-Resident Concealed Carry Options

:sad20: +1. We're a very small segment of a not much larger portion of the population. For a nation of 300 million guns we sure keep them hidden away real well, don't we? Although I'm sure a considerable number are long guns, rather poorly suited for every day carry. I've been OC'ing in...

+1, Firefox, laptop, Windows 7. Have no issues on the cell, Android, Dolphin browser. Note: Although I was already logged in and reading, it made me log in again after hitting "quote/reply". Now that's a bit excessive.

Where to shoot and who to give my money to?

Windsor is nice, and quite inexpensive. ;)

      Attention PA permit holders

IT isn't "PA" doing it, it's the Delaware County Sheriff as you yourself point out. Drive west a few miles to Lancaster and get it there without the hassle. In this regard, as a non-resident, you enjoy a freedom we PA residents do not. We are limited by statute to apply within our county of...

Are referals still needed for LTCF?

One of mine was from PA, one from MD. They never contacted either one. The law only says they can't be family and York County is not known for making up its own statutes on the fly. You should be fine. The whole reference thing is a joke anyway.

PA AG Kane *may* be indicted

Surprised? Yes. Can't recall where I read it, but PA was rated the 9th most corrupt state in America. After living here for 10 years I have absolutely no doubt that this is, or was, accurate. And I've seen no changes yet for the better.

She's toxic waste. She keeps scanning the room looking for a friend and can't find one. She's done.
