      WTB Galil ACE 7.62x39 and/or Czechpoint Vz-58

Bought it in a ban configuration out of state so I wouldn't have to deal with the mags over 10 rounds hassle that many out-of-state sellers sperg out about. At least these current crop of Liberty Vz-58's can easily be converted back to normal rifles. Paid over $1400 but at least it has the...

      WTB Galil ACE 7.62x39 and/or Czechpoint Vz-58

Looking to buy a Galil ACE in 7.62x39 or Czechpoint/Czech Small Arms (don't want the Century garbage equivalent). Trying to avoid hassle of buying out of state and explaining to seller it is still MD-legal and MD FFL's can accept regular mags and legally modify them.

      VEPR 5.45 legal in MD?

If it is in its imported sporter configuration it is legal. This applies to all guns on the banned list not just AK's. Of course the federal law changed in 1998 banning the ability to use normal capacity mags in imported guns. That means guns imported between 1989 and 1998, although neutered...

vz. 58's mag well coating flaking off

It is fine just normal wear. Vz paint is not the most durable. Even my old one had bits of paint missing from hard use.

      ARX 100 anyone?

I too am intrigued in getting one just for how different it is, the pedigree, plus I am a black rifle shooter/collector so this is another one to add to my ever-expanding list before I die or the government decides to ban them. Plus prices are dropping like crazy on it so I hope I am able to...

Double Murder in Cecil Stolen Gun Collection

I was speaking about the generalities of the situation in Maryland. Nonetheless, my previous statement still stands that the government needs these scumbags on the streets to justify their budgets, pensions, and existence coupled with how left-leaning the state is they won't lock them up and...

Double Murder in Cecil Stolen Gun Collection

The government needs scumbags like these on the street to continually justify their budgets and existence. When the criminals go bye-bye so does the money for their budgets with their comfy retirement pensions to boot. Then they say you can't carry for protection since that is what WE are here...

what are the chances the newer laws get changed back?

Never, which was also the icing on the cake that led to my departure. I still want to enjoy what little I have of my 2nd Amendment rights as well while I am still fairly young. The guns I like were specifically banned in MD. I want to purchase more. Since I have only this life to live I...

      AR felt recoil/stock vibration issue

Does look good I might buy one just to compare with the JP. At least then I will have a spare spring which couldn't hurt.

      AR felt recoil/stock vibration issue

When I used to shoot at Hap Baker it was the same ordeal. At least Hap Baker let you stand to shoot.

      Ammo shipped to MD

Preemption nullifies the ordinances. We are talking about the same thing here. I see no difference in the definition of the action described about how the state cancels out local ordinances that are still on the books that the locals refuse to take down and online vendors too lazy to rescind...

      Galil Ace in MD

It should be legal. It all depends on the MSP's interpretation. However no parts interchange with AK's and the list itself only bans the Galil AR and ARM whereas this is the ACE in 7.62x39 which is an updated design in itself from the original Galil.

      AR felt recoil/stock vibration issue

Thank you all for the additional insight and help. Based on further research it looks like I will be going with the JP Enterprises Silent Captured Recoil Buffer Spring system. Looking at the reviews and how it is designed it looks to not only eliminate the annoying sound but also add a bit...

      Virginia Legislative Update - VCDL

Wonder if McAwful will veto all these bills and if the legislature will be able to have the votes to overturn them?

      AR felt recoil/stock vibration issue

I don't have a camera or tripod to do so but I can admit on that day when I went shooting I was babysitting a lot of newbie shooters so the constant stress of making sure everyone was shooting safe and other distractions kept me from concentrating on a proper stance. i will have to go out again...

      Ammo shipped to MD

It depends on where you live. When I lived in Montgomery County it was a pain because of the ordinance, though deemed illegal in court, that is still on the law books in bold print that forbids ammo sales outside of an FFL but at the bottom of the law section it says the law was held to be...

      AR felt recoil/stock vibration issue

I knew someone would post this...... Again I listed above all the other rifle systems that are and well above 5.56 that I have shot and not had any of the issues I do in my AR's so at this point it is something with these guns. That is another possible issue as well. Need more training...

      AR felt recoil/stock vibration issue

I am new to the AR world having lingered in discussions about it for years. I finally decided to step in right before the new law in Maryland took effect forcing my hand. After a few years finally moving down here to Florida I was finally able to finish them and go shooting. It was one of the...

When are we getting the HK243?

Never said they require it but they do it since Mossberg is Swedish. Every new gun in the box has a sticker on the buttstock with the Mossberg logo embossed across the Swedish flag which should be a clue :D.
