Contact the USPS and let them know that you are informing the BATF and the FBI of a missing firearm. You'd be amazed at how fast they can find a missing firearm when told of your plans.
That's a commercial rifle. Never used by USGI. There are some parts that will interchange with a milspec carbine, but not a milspec firearm. Even with today's high cost on most firearms, I'm guessing it's worth about $400-$500 on a good day.

Since Pikeville Armory hasn't had a gun show for 15-20 years, I'd say you should sell them now for $10 and double your money.

Luckily, I've got a son who lives in PA, but I've heard of people doing it for years. I would think that if it didn't work, there'd be enough people beating up the people who recommend it.
Have them shipped to a UPS store in PA or VA and have them hold your mags for you. Walk in and pick them upp and you have complied with the King of MD.
Here is a video of how one person transferred LP gas from a large tank to a smaller one. Over pressurization is a real concern and could cause death. Be careful if you try this.
