      Modification to carry permit Thread

@Straightshooter So if I'm reading that correctly: If someone already has a W&C permit with restrictions printed on the back, they can disregard those restrictions while waiting for the modification? Has that been confirmed by MSP, or that's just Freestate's opinion?

      Modification to carry permit Thread

I submitted my request for modification on 6/24 (around noon) and received an email notification today (around 2pm) that my application had been accepted - so basically 8 business days from submission to acceptance.

      Modification to carry permit Thread

MSI has information on their website: https://www.marylandshallissue.org/jmain/information/md-carry-permits#d Basically, you follow the normal HGP Application process, but select "Modification ($10.00)" for the application type.

      Anyone have a bow scale?

Hmm, didn't think they did that kind of stuff at Dick's, especially since I didn't buy the bow there. Any idea how much they charge for something like that? Also, it's an Oneida (lever action) bow, so I'm pretty sure they're not going to know how to work on it. I suppose I could take it in...

      Anyone have a bow scale?

Just picked up a used compound bow with a draw weight between 50 and 70 pounds, but I have no idea what it is currently set to. Does anyone (near White Marsh/Perry Hall) have a bow scale I could borrow to get it setup properly?

Decent price for a used Ruger 10/22?

What's a good price to pay for a used Ruger 10/22? Based on the model number it's from 1983 or 1984, the stock has what looks like normal dings and scratches, and the barrel has some wear to the bluing. Anything specific to watch out for?

Spikes Tactical stripped lowers have been popping up recently for reasonable prices. I picked up one for $115 plus $7 shipping a couple of weeks ago.

      Question about AR Lowers

Actually found a local shop doing transfers for $35 plus the $10 MSP fee, so $45 total which is under the $50 I listed. I agree, if the price is close I'd much rather give my money to a local business, but $50+ is a lot of cash to me, and on a lower receiver it amounts to a 30%+ markup just...

      Question about AR Lowers

I'm all for supporting the local IPs, but I think $200 is still a bit high - when you add sales tax and MSP fee, you're about $222. Compare that to a Spikes online for $115, plus $7 shipping, plus $50 transfer - you're only around $172.
