Back on topic (sort of) it would be nice for folks to post a link to whatever they're referencing. Sure, we can google it, but common courtesy suggests posting a link for convenience. Just a thought.
First, I'd strongly recommend against anything from Canik right now. I was a fanboy until both of my Caniks (an MC9 and a Mete SFT Pro each developed issues with the slide catch release spring failing). Four of my shooting buddies' Caniks have developed the same issue. Canik has a history of...
I chose the Wilson version of the P365 as I was already familiar with the SIG P365 (I got one of the first 365s as soon as they hit the roster). Had a gunsmith install a trigger and some springs, but it still left a bit to be desired (smoothness, accuracy and comfort).
I have had a Wilson EDC...
I'm a big fan of the P365 platform.
I'd recommend staying away from anything from Canik. I've had two, and both had significant problems. When they work, they're nice, especially their micro MC9. But many develop a problem with the slide release spring.
I chose the smallest one, the plain Jane 365 for concealment purposes. https://wilsoncombat.com/wilson-combat-wcp365-action-tuned.html
With the 12 round magazine I get plenty of grip real estate for my little monkey hands. Someone with larger hands might prefer one of the X models for that...
I've been a fan of the 365 platform ever since they were first put on the roster. Granted, the first iterations were a little rough, but they offered decent capacity in a small package. After adding some upgrades it became better, but still not a tack driver. Of course, that isn't its purpose...
I don't think it's completely preventable, no matter what steps are taken by the range. If somebody is planning to do themselves in, they're going to do it eventually unless they get the right kind of help at the right time.
I just spoke with someone at the GB store, and confirmed that the Severn location is closed. Didn't ask for details, but the folks at Glen Burnie are pretty shaken up, as are the folks in Severn I imagine. No details at this time. Prayers up for everybody involved, whatever happened.
Perhaps if our elected (mis)representatives honored and followed the Constitution instead of striving to undermine its freedoms, they would not have anything to worry about.
