      I went with the Savage FV-SR. I pillar bedded it into a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock with some pillars I made out of aluminum 45acp snap caps and JB weld. I've been happy with it so far.

      Anybody have any experience with either of the Savage rifles chambered in 338 Lapua? I wanted to get into a 50 BMG bolt action but my wallet won't let me:D. I know ammo is high for either one but it's not something I will shoot alot.

      If your not going for the whole Noveske package(Their barrel & Switchblock) I would recommend a SLR adjustable gas block.
