Like others have said, buy a lower receiver separate and make sure it’s registered as a other (not a pistol or rifle) then purchase whatever upper you want and you are 100% legal and good to go. What caliber are length barrel are you considering?
Mine definitely like the Rem Golden bullets the best and 40g mini mags of course, I shoot the cheap Winchester 333 and 555 and it even shoots them reliably, Tried Aguila and it was decent, federal like they tell you it is almost unusable IMO.
You made a good choice with the Gen 5, definitely by far the best generation Glocks made. I’m a G17 guy but 19’s are great when they don’t have the finger grooves like you got. Plus gen 4’s have horrible triggers.

Shot at Sanners yesterday and did OK but inconsistent, the circle dot was giving me trouble so I think I'm going to ge a Vortex Venom 6 MOA and give that a try.
I get around Maryland a good bit just need someone that's going to do for a decent price is all, Dont need the barrel cut, a thread protector or the sight reinstalled, just need some threads on my barrel
