I have a Savage 10 SBA in 6.5 Creedmor with a 6-18x 44 Vortex Crossfire. I took it to the range and tried a few different factory loads at 100 yds - Hornady American Gunner, Federal Gold Medal Match, and Hornady 140gr Match. The Hornady 140gr Match was best. I didn’t measure the group but the 3...
Showing out of stock now, I was going to get more. It was on sale up until yesterday or day before- the sale was on for over a month. I picked up 700 rds. Couldn’t beat it at that price
Provengo is another company that offers discounts on some Vortex stuff. Police, fire, military qualify. A lot of other brands as well. Just a heads up for those that are eligible.
My 21 gen4
19 gen 5 I just picked up Saturday
And I finally got the wife into shooting - got her HQL and she picked the blue 43. Just picked it up yesterday. I actually think it’s a cool gun for a woman- and she likes it and it got her into shooting. I certainly don’t have a problem shooting...
Just ordered a set. I don’t currently need them. I guess I will have to build another AR.
Palmetto shipping is goofy. Had 2 shipments processed and tracking numbers on 1/25. One federal xm80 7.62x51 was delivered today, ahead of schedule. The other is still showing in South Carolina.
Mine is growing. I have sold a few over the years, but regret doing so. I’ve realized that I’d rather keep one that I don’t shoot - and not sell it. My answer was to buy a second safe. When that one fills, which won’t be too long from now, I’ll get a third safe.
I sure did. It was certainly cold doing the tour but worth it. I am looking forward to shooting there. Only about a 25 minute ride, so it works very well for me.
BigCountry14 -Probably too late to help with your deer from the other day- there’s a processor on Castleton Road right at Flintville Road. I used him this year. Super clean place. Let me know if you want his info. Has a shop out behind his house. Did a real nice job.
Yes, I tried that as well. PSA would not ship the complete lower to the FFL, even if they ordered. The customer service folks understood my frustration, but it is their company policy. I just went through this process the last few weeks. It does seem ridiculous, send me all the parts I need...
Just put one together. 18". They will not ship complete lower to MD. They would send stripped lower and you have to get the parts and put together yourself. The parts that are specific to PSA AR 10 are bolt catch, mag catch, take down and pivot pin. The rest are mil spec AR parts. I bought the...
Picked up 2 new bolt guns the other week.
Savage model 10 6.5 creedmor w 24" threaded heavy barrel vortex 6-18x44 crossfire II.
Remington 700 in .22-250 with the camo stock 26" heavy barrel with a vortex 6-18x44 crossfire II
In the middle is my Remington 700p .300 Win Mag I had put together...
Picked up a Savage 10 SBA in 6.5 creedmor. 24" heavy threaded barrel. Came with a no name scope. I put a 6-18x44 vortex crossfire II on it and a bipod. Was on sale for $500 at Dick's, plus a $100 savage rebate. I got the scope on sale for $180 so I don't think this is a bad set up for $600 or so...
Used my bonus antlered deer stamp for this 9 pointer. Him a 4 and a spike came in behind 7 or 8 does. I've got some video of them sparring I'll try to post tomorrow. The does wanted no parts of any of the bucks.
And I can't figure out why my phone pics come up sideways.
