The pistol was a gift from his wife he does not want it taken from the "family" as it will be given to their kid. But the crime was nonviolent In nature if that is what you want to know.

Also currently the firearms have been moved from his primary residence to another location? ie parents house. What if someone that owns firearms is renting a room from him?
let me rephrase he has not yet been convicted but took a plea deal. His hearing isn't until Late January so he wants to get it out of his name before the law comes. to either sell or transfer to a relative/wife
I have a friend that was convicted of a felony and is currently serving his time. He wants to transfer his pistol in to his wife's name, How can he do this with out confiscation?
