I have owned a FA-RT sinec right after they came out. I had the base unit go bad on me and unfortunately they don't sell a replacement for that. I had to buy a whole new kit but the FA gave me a very fair price for a replacement. &140 shipped. I also had the primer pocket swager and it broke on...
I use a Lyman M die so I can use a bullet feeder on my Hornady LnL progressive so I crimp .556 to remove the flare. I always crimp straight wall cases, pistol and .30 carbine. Don't crimp my 7mm STW.
I like the roller handle a lot yes it is by inline not sure if it is shorter or longer but the biggest benefit is when you are all the way down the handle is in a higher position.
Here you can see the difference between the handle heights between a LnL AP w/ roller handle and LnL Iron press...
+! on the Hornady LnL I love mine I have loaded 20K+ on it in the last year. Dillon might be a better choice for a press where you want a case feeder etc. and are reloading tons and tons each year and want to save time. I got a 3D printed case feeder and Mr. Bulletfeeder dies with SoCal S&W...
Why the shell holder for Lee and Frankfort Arsenal hand primers are the same for 9mm/.38 Super &.40/10mm (both use a #19 shell holder) yet we have different shell plates for the Hornady LnL press? I mean for the hand primers why dont they use a separate shell holder for 9mm/.38 Super from...
Any cases I haven't already swaged,I swage.I dont bother trying to seat and then swage the ones that are hard. I use green magic marker on the case heads so I know which cases are mine at the range when I pick them up. If I catch some range pick up that doesn't have the mark then I keep them...
This is the review I did on the FA-RT back in March of '14 After using a Lyman 1200 for 20+ years and having the FA-RT for 6 I can say I would NEVER consider another vibrating tumbler. My original base died about a year ago after moving to NV from MD....maybe got jostled to much in the move? I...
You need to remove the crimp before you seat a new primer. Dillon makes a swager for removing the crimp. Hornady also has tools for removing crimps. I have the

For removing crimps on 5.56 brass. I...
You still need to remove debris from your brass before you tumble in the FA-RT. Separating gravel etc. from the pins isn't easy. I use my FA media separator first to make sure nothing is in the brass before I load them in the barrel.
I have the larger size FA-RT and love it. I use Lemishine and Armor All car wash and wax. The residual wax left on the case helps with resizing and also keeps the brass from tarnishing as fast. I tumble 1 hour resize brass, trim if necessary, re-tumble again for 2 hours then hand prime cases and...
I have been using the Frankford Arsenal hand primer and love it. MUCH better then the Lee Auto Prime I used for years and years. I have no trouble hand priming 600+ rounds an hour
Buffalo Arms also sells Custom expander plugs You will see some are listed as expander balls for RCBS and Lyman expander die bodies.

Yes you can buy one M die and get different expander plug check out these web pages. This should answer your questions. I just bought a M die for each different cartridge i reload for. Saves time on set up and as I said the plugs will work lose so you should loctite them...
