      Getting a regulated rifle stripped, legal?

      I'm interested in a Bushmaster ACR Enhanced, but realize its a regulated item since it has 2 evil traits (folding stock and flash suppressor) and it comes with a 30 round magazine. If I had the online retailer strip/remove the folding stock and the magazine before shipping to MD, would it be ok?
