Try as I might, I get that people like Sigs (and Glocks). I'm not looking for one and was hoping by saying that I could avoid the usual "have you thought of the Sig," "if you like the... you would love the Sig..." "Sig, Sig, Sig." Thank you to everyone who posted no sig related replys.
Thinking about adding one of these two to the collection. What do you all recommend. I know there is the Sig P238 too, but that hasn't really interested me.
Anyone have any thoughts on the Charter Arms Pit Bill .40 S & W revolver?
Have a .40 cal semi-auto and would like to not have to have all different ammo.
Yeah, mostly just for range use. But I'd like something that could be used for self defense as well. I'll probably get a Utah carry permit eventually for when I travel out of state, and you never know, maybe one day Maryland (or the courts) will clue into the second amendment, so I'm thinking...
Not a big fan of Glocks myself. I wouldn't say they a junk, just think you can do a lot better with a Beretta or Sig, course I don't get the appeal of striker fire. Glocks seem like the Honda or Apple of guns. They have a super loyal base, and they are the best just because, even when they...
Just submitted my application for a HQL and wanted to get people's suggestions on what my next gun should be?
I have pistols already, a S&W Sigma 9mm, and a Beretta PX4 in .40. You all know it is Maryland, so I won't be carrying. Mostly just for fun.
I'll either get a 1911 or a...
Am I reading it wrong? The footnote on the the hunting season calendar seems to indicate that the season is only Sundays. So can you shoot on another day?
It also says on the calendar that in Charles and St. Mary's only, the season will also include January 12 through March 31. That would...
Simple statistics show that the marginal reduction in risk of not touching ammo is not even registerable. Ammo in your hands or hands in your pockets, either way, statistically everyone is just as safe. Now that of course changed when someone is playing around as you described, but the...
The irony is that you are interpreting the rules. The rule states that firearms must be unloaded and the breach open when shooters are down range. Handling firearms is prohibited when someone is down range.
Under that rule, handling ammo (which is not expressly mentioned anywhere in the...
Appreciate that. I might take you up on that, but let me argue with the sellers first.
I contacted Mas Defense whom I got the barrel from. They told me it took a 9.5 carbine, and that they had never heard of 7.5 tube. Same thing the seller of the tube I bought said. which is interesting...
I just got ready to complete my build and my BCG won't drop all the way in. It got stuck about two inches out. I took out the bolt and same thing. SO, I'm thinking gas problem. I take off the tube and BCG gas key fits in the tube, and the BCG will go all the way in with the tube out...
Who's making it complicated? I'm saying be safe, but reasonable. At the least we should agree that you can handle a spotting scope. And I don't really see how pulling boxes of ammo out of a bag makes things any less safe than a wal-mart sporting goods counter. And my original complaint was...
To you all. My only point was that when you get a table you need to be prepared to shoot. There is no rule about handing spotting scopes, ammo, etc cold or hot.
Thanks for the sarcasm. Obviously get their early. My original point was that you shouldn’t take up a table when you aren’t shooting. Not complaining about waiting, I’m complaining about waiting while people have their breakfast at a table while people are waiting.
I believe the rule is...
What do you mean, "and the Sheriffs Dept has done just that..." They put a range in at the land fill?
Also I could care less about a rang at the land fill. That doesn't help people in northern Calvert. That isn't much of an advantage over Myrtle Grove.
But as always, we take a back...
Where does it say it isn't allowed? I used to leave the shotty at home because I read that here on this message board several times, only to find tons of people using shot guns. ANd I've never seen that in any kind of offical rule posting. I might be wrong, just saying. As to the webbing...
IN this case though, the guys took the table durning a cold range, and it seems kind of dumb to go cold after 5 minutes because they were eating breakfast. It wasn't a safety issue, it was just they didn't care that they were taking up a table. You can unpack guns and ammo and other equipment...
