      I glanced over the Detachable part of the title. So @rseymorejr was correct- the 1873 lever in .357 is good to go in MD. Now I wonder if Buds will just flat out reject the sale since capacity is 13+1 regardless if it's a lever action.

      Yeah that is very true. I think it's good that he's is still carrying...it is very possible for him to run into someone who wants to do him serious harm, but it certainly would not turn out well for him if he had to use deadly force again to protect himself.
