I'd suggest reading through Clandestine's recent thread related to this subject:

Why was corrosive ammo ever made? What is the advantage of it?
A few weeks ago my wife was on her way to Ocean City. About 15 miles from her destination two state cruisers were on the shoulder of Rte 50 with lights on. She didn't slide over, and she got pulled over. They gave her a warning, no ticket. They were tag teaming down the highway pulling cars...
Do that and you'll get sued. Then the dude will be living in your house and you'll be the one begging on the corner. Pretty sick how that works nowadays.
That intersection is what came to mind when I started reading this thread. I don't think it's the same guy all the time though. I've heard there's a homeless camp in the woods nearby. They're not aggressive at that intersection though. They'll just sit on their white bucket, leaning back...
Another thing to keep in mind is that most of these vertical safes depend on gravity to hold the door on the hinges. You can just lift the door off while the safe is open (makes it quite a bit lighter when moving the safe). If you open it while it's on its side and the door slips off... good...
Since it’s obvious a lot of you folks like a discount I’ll pass along this info…. If you go through the Mr. Rebates website to get to Cabela’s website, you get a rebate on your order (3% at Cabela’s). www.mrrebates.com
Mr. Rebates is affiliated with a couple thousand stores that sell online...
That may be MSP's stance, but aren't organizations such as MSI and the NRA still advising against it, since it's the AG's opinion that ultimately counts?
My understanding is that most ranges won't let you shoot re-loads in their pistols. They don't want their gun blowing up if one of the re-loads has double powder in it due to poor quality control. Understandable on their part.
It's sort of like what to wear or not to wear on casual Friday... If you have to question it, you probably shouldn't. Just rent at the range and have piece of mind. Plus, that way, over time you get to try out a larger variety of pistols.
I've had many conversations with co-workers on this subject (the last section of your post). It seems I'm the only one in the office who understands history. (The real scary part... that's the fact that they're all allowed to vote too). It seems that they all think it can never happen again...
Does MSI take donations that would be used specifically for placing ads, ads that promote the truth about guns, and what's wrong with the laws? I'm not sure of what all this organization does.
The issue is momentum, and unfortunately the other side still has it. With every negative gun related incident out there the debate gets brought back to the forefront with this administration and the media. Silence from the gun advocates could give the perception of conceding. That is not a...
Divide and conquer. That’s what they want. And all the people here who are doing the name calling and hollering are the ones who are feeding right into their hands with that. They (the antis) stand together in solidarity and that’s what keeps them strong. They just need to wait for us to...
Chad Fox has treated me pretty well. I had a recent ND so I was good to go for 8th day. A couple weeks ago he was telling me how crazy busy everything has been lately. (This was around the time of the gun show). I imagine the nerves of many of the FFLs are pretty frayed about now.
Bummer that I didn't know about the Thompson conversion kit for the 10-22 sooner. I reeeeeeealy wanted a Thompson (Auto Ordinance) as well, but all of the bad reviews on them scared me away.
