I have a couple of stripped AR15 lower receivers I bought on 30 Sept 2013.
My understanding is that I can use these to build non-HBAR AR15s since Maryland considers these receivers to be actual pre-Oct 2013 ARs.
Correct?
I'm sure this has been answered but apparently my search skills suck.
Just an idea....
I live in the extreme boondocks of the Eastern Shore Maryland. My buddy and I both have Designated Collector Status, so we can both carry guns to a 'private exhibition' so that's not an issue.
Anyway, over the years I have collected many floating buoys and such that have...
I'm a MD Designated Collector. Of course, that means that I can transport a gun to a "private exhibition".
If I want to exhibit my pistol to my son-in-law out in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay (and use my 9mm Beretta pistol for fishing ),
is it OK to transport my gun via my boat?
OK, so for some reason the Colt AR15 Sporter is legal. Other HBAR's may or may not be legal, but we know that the Colt Sporter is legal.
I'm sure many are wondering:
What exactly makes it a Colt AR15 Sporter? Just the name stamped on the gun?
What would it cost me to buy this Maryland-legal...
I may want to at least put in a purchase order for an AR-15 lower before 1 Oct.
(My grandson is expected to be born on/about 1 Oct, and I'd like him to have an actual banned 'Assault Rifle', exactly as old as he is, transferred from father to son to son on his 21st birthday)
Can I order...
TLDR: I bought a DA/SA hammer fired. Should I trade it for striker fired?
I bought a Beretta PX4 9mm just to get a pistol before the 1 Oct laws.
Long, heavy DA pull, followed by short, light, hair-trigger SA pulls.
The long DA pull was OK, but the SA trigger kind of gives me the creeps...
In another thread, someone linked to a thread in the "watercooler".
Noobs were not allowed to see this thread. Apparently, you need 50 posts to gain access to it, or even know it exists.
So, what's in that secret watercooler? Do I need MSP ok to see it, or am I ok to enter after 8 days?
Longtime shotgunner, never had a handgun.
A few weeks ago I bought and put my paperwork for a Beretta PX4 Storm at Gander Mountain.
Now for the 3 month wait.
Recently, I found on this site about a bunch of Maryland gun stores releasing early.
I'm on phone-hold at Gander Mountain to...
Suppose I buy a gun and put in my paperwork in July and my background check doesn't come through until after 1 October.
After 1 October the sale of 10+ mags will be illegal.
Can I still pick up my Beretta with its two 17 round mags?
