Got all the missing parts in finally after one sat in USPS purgatory for awhile. Stock and forend are sanded down and ready for finishing. Most surprisingly of all, the rust pitting on the barrel is cleaning up well. I probably won't get it all out, but it looks a thousand times better than when...
I'm hoping to get some thoughts for those more knowledgeable than I. I grabbed my Dad's old Sears Model 200 shotgun during the last trip home and hoping to restore it. I know it doesn't have much value other than sentimental. The barrel on it was pretty rusted up. I cleaned most of it off, but...
I've been thinking about scratching this itch as well and have been looking at Silencer Shop. Does anyone have experience with their Single Shot NFA trust? Would it be easier to set up my own? This will be my first NFA purchase, but there will be others down the line.
Finally got around to submitting my app. App submitted on 4/30/18. HQL active on 5/9/18.
Do I have to wait for my card in the mail or can I use my License # to purchase in the meantime?
6 months seems to be holding true. Submitted my paperwork at the end of October. Didn't receive a response until December that my paperwork was accepted and is being processed. Response stated that it would take between 90 and 180 days.
This is just the thread I was looking for. I'm looking to pick up a hunting rifle as well. I'm leaning towards the Remington 700 in. 308, but I've heard a lot about the Tikka. Grice Gun Shop in PA is having a sale on a lot of the 700's though.
Thanks for the info. I did always associate carry in a vehicle with concealed, but now I should know better. Regardless, since I have a permit (not a PA one), I should be fine carrying on the four wheeler, right? As long as when I step off it, I open carry the firearm.
I do have my Utah NR permit, which is now crap in PA while on foot. I just wanted to clarify that carrying on a four wheeler was the same as carrying in a car.
