      My first handgun was a rock island 1911 tac. Today I picked up a Kimber custom target II. My next is probably going to be a Colt of some flavor.

      If it was me I would prefer to know. I do check to see where my brass is hitting after the first shot or so. I see it as i don't want to get hit by your hot brass so I think the golden rule applies.

      I wish that was still the case but I do recall the government was crushing military members for trying to sneak weapons in to the country. I recall some AAV guys got caught with AK parts spread out in fuel tanks of the vehicles and mixed in parts boxes. I would have paid big money for that...

      Thompson M1A1 Didn't get to bring it back but I got to shoot it some before it got crushed. It was found next to a M16A1 and some chrome plated AK47's. Still my favorite gun ever.

      Anderson MFG AR 15 with RF85 process

      My pops has one it hasn't given him any headaches and it shoots well. Anderson had some issues 4 years ago but it seems they got them worked out. The Anderson trigger is better then my cmmg 2 stage. It is so much better I built an Anderson complete lower for my .300 blk out.

      Being a Marine Infantry rifleman, Gunny Hathcock is a Legend, I have read numerous books on him and I have never heard of him doing this attempt. Especially after his last tour in Vietnam.

      Good looking rifle, I agree with your use of flip up sights. I have a AR with a fixed front sight post and It interfears with some of my optics.
