      Consider shooting 1 oz 1200 fps loads. Also make sure you are mountingredient your gun properly and holding it tightly.

      Maverick 88 - Finding a shorter/smaller stock

      Google Mossberg 500 Bantam stock. I found a few. That should get you in the 12 to 13 LOP. Avoid a Knoxx srock if you are shooting clays. Ensure she has her head pressed tight against the gun. Many new shooters make that mistake. That can lead to the cheak bruising.

      Benelli makes a great reliable semi that makes a great hunting gun. Stoeger is owned by Benelli and uses the same action. It might be worth a look. I know you said semi, but a pump is a very quick follow up and very reliable while being less expensive. 870s are great and barrels are cheap.

      Claybuster vs Downrange Wads

      Anyone have an opinion. I have been using claybuster for years. I usually shoot claybuster replacements for WAA12L for 7/8 skeet and Fig 8 for 1 1/8 sporting. I recently have heard good things about downrange and was curious if people are using them.

      I wanted to say that but bit my tongue. Best O/U, probably Krieghoff, but that is debatable. Realistically you need to double your budget to hit the bottom of reasonable O/U. Look at semis or pumps. You will be fine with either.

      Green top in VA. Best selection I have ever seen. Best place to handle stuff by far. Its in Ashland by bass pro. As long as you arent buying a tacticool shotgun you can buy it there no problem. Definately worth the drive.
