I would like to get into 50m ISSF shooting, and have no idea how. Md isn't a very gun-friendly state, and am hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. I just got out of the Corps, and really miss shooting positions. Thanks guys!! :party29:
true, the initial outlay for PCP is a little pricey, but think about going through a couple of springers (starting cheap and working your way up) and THEN moving to PCP... now the initial outlay isn't looking too bad. Besides, one pump or tank will fill multiple guns... I would get on Pyramyd...
Yes they are. Best advice? Do your research. What do you want to do... hunt? Target shoot? Plink? Teaching a young one? Figure that out and people can better guide you. PCP is awesome.
"Mrod" is short for Marauder. Benjamin is the manufacturer. You can get them from Pyramydair.com. They're pretty darn quiet in all calibers, .177, .22, .25. I chose to upgrade my Discovery because it's easier to tune than the Mrod.
Well, in case anyone is interested, here's what I've done to mine:
I've added a Disco Double kit, a BNM breech with custom Daystate bolt handle, a new gauge, and a Challenger PCP stock custom inletted by DiscosRUs...
Kind of an old post, but thought I would put my 2 cents in... I have a 1322 that I've just finished modding out. Here's what I did:
TKO22 barrel shroud (installed a front sight from the Discovery rifle)
Airgunsmith flat top piston and modified valve
Airgunsmith trigger kit
Crosman steel...
they're okay, if youre new to airguns, or wont be shooting it very often. all the "nitro-piston" rifles by crosman/benjamin are just cheap knockoffs of Theoben gas rams. if youre really wanting to get an airgun that'll last you for YEARS, get a quality one. like an HW (weirauch), or a Theoben...
That is a sweet airgun, but 1500psi aint nuthin. there's air rifles (not pellet or bb guns- ADULT air rifles) that use 2000psi and higher, typically 3000psi.
