So it seems like a wise idea as one starts to accumulate any quantity of of firearms to carry insurance, both for home; as well as possibly for legal protection (liability)
However, it appears to happen quite quickly that homeowners policies will not cover more than a vary minor $$ amount...
I highly doubt we "got" the worst possible panel. As a matter of fact, I think it is becoming increasingly obvious something is going on behind the scenes with the selection of these panels. Not saying it should...but fairly confident it is!
...And if true, would very much like to see some...
I think that other doctor didn't go far with a lot of people because (to put it mildly) many of his views and positions go beyond the reaches of many rational people. Further, while he is certainly intelligent, one must also be a realist and able to appeal to more than just a select group...
Not suggesting pandering. But we do have to get others to:
1) care
2) be on our side
This includes educating and using their own tricks against them. You know, things like calling this an "Assault Weapons Ban" or "Common Sense" or "Firearms Safety Act"...
They give bad bills good...
Veterans, elderly, and the poor. And minorities. And Unions! Show disenfranchisement. Show how this unfairly restricts the poor from ability to defend self.
We do need to preach to the choir and get are own base, but we also have to bring in moderates from the other side!
Can we...
We need a media machine to counter this!
We can wreck havoc on them if we can spread the truth! I think TV and Internet are places to focus! Use the Dems own favorite strategies right back against them!
How can we help engage other groups that could really hurt them, but would likely be receptive to the cause without expending significant resources?
1) Veterans
2) GOP
3) Union Members
4) Rurual Sheriffs
5) Police Chiefs from other big cities (even outside MD) that DO support citizens...
Great points. How can we do these things? Agree we need to hit them strong with every opportunity.
Repetition is ok (shows it is not just one doctor, sheriff, or other citizen that feels this way) but we also have to make all of our points and be prepared for any shifting of schedule...
I believe what we really need to do is broaden our base. Not just those involved in the shooting industry (of which we definitely need to push as that should be easy)...but also outside the box, get support from the MD GOP, Tea Party, and other organizations; along with a broad educational...
Listening to pompous Frosh, it is clear that the committee wants to utilize their "debate", deposition, and cross-examination skills to attempt to thwart our often less-experienced testimonies and make us look like things have not been thought through. However, we must not let that stop us...
We need to get even the liberals fully behind us. I don't think many understand what Annapolis is doing, and even if they disagree, I am sure many would not endorse the process of those like MOM and Frosh!
How about a commercial: 60 seconds, major networks or maybe a series of commercials...
I'm not so sure. I think we HAVE to keep pushing, but I can see them totally ignoring us, on the basis of the liberal controlled senate and house, and as frosh said "take his chances". Hopefully there truly will be repercussions for the whole of them, like we did at a federal level not so many...
so what happens next (other than the total disregard of about 39.9 pages of opponents) and them maybe keeping some of the fox/chicken hen house guys testimony...
That's probably how a lot of the dems feel. Of course, the administration that got in nationally shouldn't have happened either.
A cleaning of the house, senate, and rest of the leadership in just under 2 years as a result of this attempt would be fantastic.
Is frosh still even there? Raskin? Or did the dems decide to leave, having already made up there mind before even hearing testimony of the citizens?
Maybe it wouldn't matter since speaking on deaf or unwilling ears.
Thank you. I thought I heard these were being offered in a US made version, but can't seem to find. In fact, can't hardly find the regular Italian made...and the prices I see going used are beyond ridiculous!
