Hi all looking for recommendations on what to try next on my deer gun.
Have a 350 Legend AR (faxion 18” 350 barrel). It shoots and cycles perfectly without the can. After adding the can it will not cycle consistently. I’ve tried adding a superlative arms adjustable gas block. I’ve tuned...
wow this thread is still going...my barber is good at cutting hair but definitely a bit out there with some of his ideas...great fun to talk to while getting a hair cut though.
I don't feel a need to argue with what he tells me as he's very passionate. I'll question him on details but usually...
I have the 43x with the SA15 round mag...I love my buddies 365 MUCH more...waaaay better trigger and build quality...if I were buying again today, it wouldn't even be a choice...365 all the way. Ha, if you want to go the 43x route I"ll sell you mine so I can get the 365!
I was at the barber shop today and the barber said that a law was passed last year for Baltimore city residents only that permits concealed carry while in the city.
I never heard anything about it so I thought I’d ask here.
I just got off the phone with surefire...they advised strongly against not using the chamfered spacer. they claimed that was designed to ensure concentricity. removing the shims was ok though.
thanks for the suggestions. I'll be trying it as described over the long holiday weekend. yes that is a spacer on the 308. I followed the instructions from Surefire and installed them per their manual I linked in post 57. I'll try without all the extra spacers and report back

I have used rockset already on everything and plan to use it again.
I would love to find someone with a surefire SOCOM 30 cal can so I can compare it. see if my can properly aligns on their muzzle device and vis versa. that will help me identify where ther issue actually is. in the mean...
you can see they both contact the bore at the 7 o'clock position (if I could rotate the pics correctly that is)
I've gone back and looked at them both very closely and they look like the can is off rather than the muzzle device/barrel...I've called Surefire and sent them these pics. they are...
yes, that's exactly what I have...I tightened the nut down against the C clip washer shown in his right hand above, then used the nut as a shoulder to tighten the muzzle device against. I installed the muzzle device with shims to clock it properly, torqued to spec.
I"m wondering if I should...

it's a 10" barrel. I"ve been looking at this again this morning. I'm now thinking that it is not concentric and concerned that I need a professional to help. this upper is a BRN180s that doesn't have a traditional shoulder on the barrel but instead has a jam nut that tightens to a slotted...
I now have my can and alignment rod (thank you again) and have a follow up question. When I used the rod on my AR .308 it was a good fit and centered perfectly.
When I used it on my 300Blk pistol the fit was much looser to the point that it wobbled in the bore enough to contact the endcap of...
