      .357 Snubbies

I've got the 2" SP101 with the spurless hammer, which makes it a DA-only revolver. It is extremely smooth and snagless. I carry it when backpacking/camping and load it with .38 Spl. This:

      Where to shoot?

12th Precinct Pistol and Archery Range in Harwood MD (private range with reasonable membership fee) is outstanding. Very nice facilities. Only drawback is no high-powered rifles or shotguns.

Nikon 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope - BDC Reticle $99.95

That is a DEAL. I have two of these on rifles and they are really fine scopes.

      Corroded ammo from Cabela's

Bury it all in the berm of your favorite range. Use a quality 9mm firearm to dig the holes :party29:

      Awesome Experience at Lancaster Archery

Agreed. Best customer service in the business.

      ND While Loading Shotgun

I'm not going to armchair quarterback this ND. From the vid, looked like it was a mechanical failure. What this does do is remind us all to use dummy ammo when doing function checks at home. This could've been bad. Good on your cousin for maintaining excellent muzzle discipline. :party29:

Setting up Plano case, too much going on?

All cases like this do have some facility to lock them. The cheaper roto-molded poly cases have simple rings molded into the flange where the lid meets the bottom section, and you slip a padlock through the holes. See link. http://i62.tinypic.com/2dslsvd.jpg More expensive cases have...

Range report: Sig Sauer 522 carbine

Best bet would be to contact Sig Sauer customer service if the part is not listed in their catalog. They still make this rifle, so I'm sure the part is available.

Leupold VX-1 2-7x28mm .22 Caliber Rimfire Rifle Scope

Another one to look at is the Nikon Prostaff zoom 9x40 rimfire scope. It's got great light transmission, waterproof/fogproof, zero-resettable turrets, and holds zero like solid steel. Dicks has these on sale for around $140. I've been using these for years and they are a killer rimfire scope...

Setting up Plano case, too much going on?

Most folks don't think of the following when building up carrying cases for guns/equipment/etc. You want the case to balance at the carry handle. Here's how: Lay a large (about 1" diameter) wooden dowel such as a broomstick down and place the case, flat and atop it, 90 degrees to the...

      Any Anne Arundel Archers here?

I'm not a member but I've been shooting there (longbow) for a few years. I like the place and the regulars are all very cool cats. My home range is Twelfth Precinct in Harwood MD.

12 year old girl online backlash over hunting photos

If individuals worried about their own issues and butted out of others' lives, the world would be a nicer place. Mow your damn grass, pick up your dog's crap, and let this girl hunt with her dad. If you don't like the pictures, your computer has a power switch. Use it. I'll pronounce...

10/22 first time at the range

Took the Ruger 10-22 to the range today. Shot it along with the Savage MK-II BTV and Marlin XT-22. The Ruger shot tighter groups (1.5") at 50 yds than the bolt guns, all using Federal bulk ammo. These are fantastic, fun rifles. I did install a Hornet trigger with adjustable tension and...

      beretta slide mod 92

Do other shooters have the same problem with it? If not, you might be resting your thumb on the slide release just enough to prevent it from catching the slide on the last round. I saw this a few times in my visits to the desert. Also make certain you're using the correct (9mm) mag. The 40...

      Winchester 1500 tube issue

The mag tube is not really designed to be routinely removed from the receiver. It's a press-fit. The way to knock it out is to place the end cap on the tube and use a hard plastic mallet to tap the tube about an inch into the receiver. Once it's knocked into receiver, you remove a Nylon...

Druken boaters brawl on the Choptank

Hey, go easy on these people. We need them around for when the zombie SHTF. They'll be the lardasses that get eaten, and the zombies will die of high cholesterol. GLOVE SAVE!

      Range Bag?

Craftsman hard-bottom tool bag. The hard bottom is critical. Every range bag I've tried (even expensive brand names) start to fall apart after moderate use; the zippers fail, stitching comes apart... Tool bags are made to carry 20+ lbs of actual hardware. Perfect for pistols, ammo, and...

      AR won't chamber first round

"...then drive the bolt forward with the charging handle till it fully seats." You cannot drive the bolt forward with a charging handle. The only thing the charging handle can do is pull the bolt rearward. The recoil spring is what drives the bolt forward. The forward assist (if so equipped)...

      Range bag

Most range bags start to fall apart after regular use. Seams unravel and zippers start to separate. Want something tough as nails and inexpensive? A hard-bottomed tool bag. with shoulder strap. Check Sears, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.
