I’ve always loved Jeep CJ 7’s and 8’s since my childhood.
I’m in a position to get one and before I acquire one I am looking for a shop within 75 miles of Bethesda that could be my go to for maintenance and a few upgrades. Perhaps input on the buy...yes I do know that I should avoid one with...

I had never given eye pro much thought. I double up my ears and max noise reduction ratings (NRR) but when it came to eyes...Home Depot work glasses / ANSI Z87 rated, whatever that meant...
Apparently very little...
Long story short, that rating won't stop much more than a spent casing. You...
I'm starting to doubt the practicality of night sights. Four main points here.
-If it's too dark to see your sights, you probably can't see the target and therefore shouldn't engage. Maybe you're hiding in a dark closet and the target is illuminated but that's a pretty unlikely event.
-In a...
So I'm buying some new SD ammo for a glock. Federal HST, Speer Gold Dot, etc. It's pricey and I'm wondering how much I need to shoot before I can trust it. Assume standard pressure, so this is just a reliability question.
How much do you feel you need to shoot a round before it can be trusted...

Really good exchange between Howard Stern and his clueless sheep producer "ba ba booey". Love the walking dead tie-in!
Recent Rasmussen polling says more people now feel safer in a neighborhood with guns than without. Also for first time in years the majority is against an AWB.
Our political...
Sorry if a dupe or in an omnibus sale thread but this is a smoking deal. Indeed better than the one Bill is offering on his own website (and referenced in another thread).
Primary Arms is running 30% off the full line while supplies last right now. Reasonable shipping too. Was only $6 to ship...
I should spend more money on training and less money on gadgets.
Gave the Training and Safety forum a college try w/ advanced search but came up a little dry...I'm wondering if YOU have used a particular instructor and found him/her to be excellent.
Location: would prefer to go to NRA Range...
So my new G21 G4 is having FTF issues. I have been to the range with it a few times. Last time, it occurred once and I shrugged it off. More recently, it occurred twice out of a box of 50....totally unacceptable for a HD pistol.
The facts:
* Probably only 300 rds through the gun since birth...
Hard to believe that it has been 20yrs since the misguided, ineffective and unconstitutional "Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act" was signed by the impeached pervert BJ (Bill Jefferson) Clinton :sad20: and 10yrs since its sunset :D...
Update: Out of stock. Back in stock morning of 6/20

Never thought I'd find myself thanking the Devil Himself (of Duffy's Gun shop)....because it's quite a drive from Montgomery County.
Well, I trucked up there and the trip was well worth it! Friendly guys, a store chock full of guns at great prices and gunsmiths in the back ready for anything...
Bought a Ghost Ulitmate and the darn thing has a divot in it on or near where the trigger bar is making contact :mad54:
It's probably not an issue but the whole point of spending $20 on a few grams of metal is for a smooth surface!
Do you think there is contact at that location on the...
So last night my wife says she might want to go to the range with me, which is a huge surprise :fingerscrossed: My first post on MDS was advice on how to get a firearm in the house! She mentioned the ladies Olympic shooting (ski & shoot) and home security...that she should know how to operate my...
Very nice to see Stag Arms is going the extra mile. See below link to offerings based on which grabber state you live in. I've seen "CA compliant" here and there but this is more robust. This was a banner on AR15.com.

[EDIT- PHOTOS BELOW]
So I took my gen 4 17 to the range for second time and it shot flawlessly. 100 rounds on the odometer so far and no issues shooting.
When I went to clean it, I noticed that the slide seems to shift to right (out of alignment for sure) when I attempt to remove or add the...
My old man is starting to pass down his inventory and I need some MDS wisdom.
Thoughts on the following choices? I don't compete and we obviously can't carry, so this is a plain old range/SHTF gun. I think I know what I'm getting with the XD, but have less experience with the other two...
