Taylors' & Co. out of Winchester imports a beautiful line of 1892 clones in .45LC and .357 from Pedersoli in Italy. This includes take-down models in either caliber with a choice of octagonal and round barrels. Not cheap, but very, very nice. I've checked them out at the big table they have at...
I just mounted a Nikon Rimfire Prostaff 3-9x on my vintage Browning T-bolt (older than half of you on this Board) and took it to Hap Baker the other day. I am very pleased. Really easy to sight in and use, and the bullet drop feature is great. I think I paid $129 for mine on sale at Midway.
Fogo's one of the best reasons for being in downtown B'more in the evening. Not cheap, but an incredible selection of well-prepared food, and not just the meats.
There used to be a Cheeburger Cheeburger in Timonium. It did a land-office business for a few years, then slacked off and closed. Too bad. They were pretty good, but a little greasy. I'd forgotten it until someone mentioned it above.
For under $1K, I'd highly recommend the Springfield E-Series base model. For something completely different but also under $1K if you look hard enough, here's my Colt 100 Anniversary Tier III reproduction of the WWI-era Black Army 1911. Nice fitting, beautiful finish, crisp, clean pre-70 Series...

2 1/2" barrels bring premiums, but as noted, the 19-5s are less sought after than P&R guns, and in general (there being exceptions) special organizational markings bring little more than unmarked guns. As was said above, the matte finish would likely be a detraction in the eyes of most S&W...
I'll second this. Used to be Cheeseburger in Paradise, but the Jimmy Buffet organization got on them. Their burgers are great, so are their milkshakes.
Only been to Family Meal once, but it was a good experience. My wife and I seldom agree on restaurant food, but we both had the burgers and...
Thanks to zoostation, JoppaJ, 2SAM22, and especially Norton and DD214 for all that MDS is and has done. (Well, most of it.) As a gun owner and shooter in the Volksrepublik, I felt pretty isolated at times until I stumbled on the Forum; now it's hard to imagine life without the knowledge and...
