SB 1097 Likely rewritten to eliminate QHIC HQL Wear and Carry instructors

I’d like to point out something not yet discussed in this thread. I am now training my teenage daughter, and I have observed many new shooters at the range. Most teenage/20 something girls would be more comfortable learning from another young girl than an older dude with a ton of credentials...

Hawaii SC says not right to carry!

I am not a lawyer, but I did try reading the decision. The decision says the defendant did not apply for a carry permit, so Bruen decision does not apply. If someone who understands legal documents better than I, please correct me if I’m wrong. Not a win, but not a disaster. Sent from my...

Anyone have a breakdown of MD Carry permit numbers by county/city?

That would be 3.6% of population. My prediction is 4.5%, or 225K permits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Anyone have a breakdown of MD Carry permit numbers by county/city?

I don’t recall the exact numbers, but I thought that Baltimore county was leading. Please correct me if you have the report. Continental Arms is packed with new shooters. Many taking a CCW class. I assume most are from the local county. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Gun banners upset over complete guns not being destroyed...

Why would they think that a company would do work (destroy guns) for free ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

SB1 on voting list in House Jud Committee for this am 4/6/23 @ 9am

So they realize that most of the law will be blocked/struck down. Is this just performative like the Mo county law? Like the Mo county law will they not bother to enforce? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

SB1 (2023) - Criminal Law - Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms - Restrictions (Gun Safety Act of 2023)

OC is likely more protected than CC. Also, a ban on long guns for 18-20 years old will make the handgun ban easier to challenge. “Never interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake”. — Sun Tzu Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

SB1 (2023) - Criminal Law - Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms - Restrictions (Gun Safety Act of 2023)

Great post. I’m curious, how are the interactions going between LEO and city residents carrying with permits? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

      House carry bill 824

By increasing the fee for no reason it will be harder for justify in court. Yes, the goal is $0. Just like when I register to vote. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

SB86 (2023) - Rifles and Shotguns – Possession – Age Requirement (Raise the Age Act of 2023)

Currently 18-20 year olds cannot buy or carry handguns. Denying All guns to 18-20 will make the court case easier to grant carry permits for 18 year olds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

MSP Licensing Division report to Legislature 1/25/2023

So based on the PowerPoint there are 20K permits in the pipeline, giving us 100K soon. My guess is the total will go to 300K before things settle out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
