      I noticed yesterday morning that the screw probably wasn't the original screw because it we a bit too long. So, I cut off the damaged part with a Dremel, cleaned it up and Voila! It fit worked out perfectly.

      I have a screw that is supposed to thread into mount for the bayonet, but the first few threads are boogered up. I would like to use a die to fix them, but I don't know the size. Anybody know?       CMP is a great idea for the bluing and sight installation. However, I just looked and it appears my local club is no longer affiliated with CMP and according to the CMP website they only work on rifles from people who belong to affiliated clubs.
