Not sure if I was clear in my post, but as my gun closet attests, I am not anti-gun. The point was the buyback people are wrongly quoting the Bible to justify what they are doing. It is only Jesus returning and destroying all evil that allows the destruction of weapons.- T-Man

This always bugs me as a lover of the Bible. There is nothing unbiblical about wanting to stop crime or even being anti- gun, though I obviously disagree with the position. But the Bible verse that talks about turning swords into plowshares is not talking about anything like the this gun buy...- T-Man

Perhaps I am naive, but I would be greatly disappointed if this was untrue. As a lawyer, Colorado’s argument is so bad and politically motivate AND the impact of this is so huge, I cannot imagine any of the many varieties of judges I have dealt with over the years upholding the decision. In one sense, I agree with you as the number of Garand's made is huge and there is likely no argument for rarity for most of them. But - it's a piece of WW2 history, the rifle that took down Hitler, was there to storm the beaches of Normandy, jump with the 82nd and 101st airborne, and to seize... -

That the Sheriff’s office had no intent to review the weapons and they conspired to create a fake reason to get the machine guns knowing that it was false.
