      No more SBRs

Indeed that is a good piece of information to have in this saga. I have a trust so I didn't need it.

      No more SBRs

According to my FFL/SOT if the ATF approves it you are all set. ATF approval trumps MSP because of MD law. They seemed to be thinking of examples when stating this. I'm not claiming they are correct, just reporting what I was told when doing my form 4 post 10/1 on a Krink.

      No more SBRs

I have a Form 3 for a Krinkov purchased 2 months ago still pending. We'll see.

      No more SBRs

I'm sure the answer isn't known but what about pending form 3s that may not go through until 10/1? Will ATF ever accept the Form 4 transfer to the individual? It would be assumed that purchasing the SBR would be a PO but who knows now?

      FFL Transfer and Magazines

I did and I agree that it would be the best option but always good to have a backup plan.

      FFL Transfer and Magazines

I have a transfer coming that may contain several magazines with capacities over 20 rounds depending on what I can convince the seller to do. Are their any FFLs in the area that will ship these to a friend out of state (for a fee) instead of stealing them when the transfer comes in?

Too late to make an SBR?

Cursory internet searches ( :blah: ) seem to indicate that this was how it works for other states' AWBs i.e. putting a pre-ban on a form 1 doesn't effect its grandfathered status. Also I would agree that the more I look into the SBR process the more evidence emerges that the ATF see's it more as...

Transferring an AR lower post-October 1st

That would make more sense for the 94 ban and for copycat weapons that would otherwise fail the features test but I can't imagine it would apply to a named assault weapon that was already registered with MSP when purchased as a regulated firearm well before 10/1.

Transferring an AR lower post-October 1st

Wait how does the law prevent you from building whatever you want on a grandfathered lower? It's an AR-15 (named assault weapon) possessed before Oct 1. EDIT: It occurs to me that this might be in reference specifically to going from a cash and carry HBAR to something else. True?

Banks that do NFA trust checking accounts?

My online money market account with Ally was opened today. Just print the form online and mail it with a copy of a few trust pages and a check. The form has spots for two trustees to sign. You get a debit card and checks with no fees, minimums, or direct deposit requirements.

      Project Alamo - Remember SB281

That's the ticket isn't it? I would hate to go through all the effort and money needed to vote the bums out only to get them replaced by the same (or worse). I'm very optimistic about this primary approach, I think we can seriously change the tide in Annapolis over a couple election cycles...

      SBR in MD question

I've got a form 1 to SBR a lower I have now going into the mail soon myself after I get my trust finalized. If the ATF really considers this to be a new build completely then you may loose grandfathering and be denied if you try to SBR a named assault weapon. This is further complicated in...

      SB281 and SBRs / Suppressors

This all is right on with my reading of the bill as well. The move to 2 evil features makes threaded barrels a possibility on most semi-auto handguns. Most of my confusion was regarding the grandfathering. Reading the bill it seems that none of the rules apply to an ar15 lower already in...

      SB281 and SBRs / Suppressors

If SB281 as currently amended passes what does that mean for SBRs and grandfathering? I have similar questions for barrel threading to accept suppressors Things I understand as true: * Any semi-auto center-fire rifle less then 30" overall will be banned regardless of other evil features. *...

      Apartment size reloading bench

I keep it simple with my Lee single stage and powder drop mounted to a 3 ft long 2x4 which I c-clap to the dining room table for my sessions. Everything else I just keep in a bin that I truck up with the board from the basement in my small row home. I don't really have tools beyond a hand-drill...
