HQL Help: My Wife's Fingerprints were rejected

I hate to suggest this, but it could be that she is just one of the people who don't have fingerprints that are easily readable. Lawmakers, of course, never count on them when they make laws but some people just don't have fingerprints.

Laserlyte Laser Trainer. Gimmick or nah?

No offense taken! My shooting got worse when I only used the LaserLyte over a course of a couple of months. The problem is that I didn't know it until I got back to the range. The laser would active on the trigger slap and the laser would pass across the target making it activate and seem like a...

best gun shops/FFL in the area?

Honestly, I don't even know. I was thinking of getting an LWRC rifle that is Maryland legal (cash and carry as I understand it) and having it shipped to them (cheaper transfer and keep the magazine) but I am totally unclear on the Virginia "assault weapons" laws. My dad lives over near there so...

Laserlyte Laser Trainer. Gimmick or nah?

I used the LaserLyte for a while. It was fun, but I found that it was giving me bad habits. After using it I tended to get a sight picture then slap the trigger. It worked with the laser targets, but on the range the trigger slapping made me shoot very low. I have stopped using it for the...

9mm's that every shooter should try

United Guns had a 5906 on consignment a while back. It was pretty tempting.

best gun shops/FFL in the area?

United has been fine for me. Oddly, I am closer to Nova Firearms in McLean, VA, so I have been wondering about the legality of using them since they can work with "high" capacity magazines.

      Karma - Frosh Gets Some

You may not have seen, but it looks like LifeLock isn't really that awesome.

      M1 Carbine - what have I got?

Thanks for the answers, everyone. I am going to take it out to the range this week or next and see how much I want to keep it.

      M1 Carbine - what have I got?

Oh, the stock is mahogany. I didn't place it until you said so. It is brittle and has chipped a few places. The hand guard is probably an original walnut one, as it is clearly a different wood. Thanks!

      M1 Carbine - what have I got?

I did miss a marking. The side of the barrel reads FXFL/Gardner, MA. Does this make it a Blue Sky import, or is that something else? I agree it seems to be a mix of parts. I really suspect that the stock is modern. It doesn't seem to be walnut or very high quality hardwood. I am not an expert...

      M1 Carbine - what have I got?

Ok, there isn't much to see. What pictures would help? I should mention there are no markings on the stock at all.

      M1 Carbine - what have I got?

In 1986 I walked into the Woolworths in Tyson's Corner Mall, and they had a rack of M1 carbines for about $150. I bought one and have had it ever since. I don't shoot it much, so was thinking of selling it to make some space in the safe. Before I did that I thought I should figure out what it is...
