      Budget 308 bolt rifle?

      what are you going to use it for? Hunting, target? I ask because I have a Savage 10PC on an Oryx chassis that is incredibly accurate (for my amatuer level) but it is not for toting through the woods.

      MIL-S-5000 Steel extractor?

      Would this, or 4340, hold up better with steel cased ammo than the typical 4140 steel?

      Was looking to pick up a couple of spare extractors and came across some that were described as "Extractor Produced from MIL-S-5000 Steel, Vacuum Hardened, Machined." I then searched for "MIL-S-5000 Steel" and found, in general, that is seems to be the same as 4340 steel. Does anyone here have...
