      How much does your home defense AR weigh?

      What performance issues are you giving up in an AR pistol for home defense? Not many homes have LOS of more than 40-60 feet! A 7” barrel and no blade is maneuverable and plenty of whoop.

      LSA was the end all back when I was in! Now they found a cheaper product, Breakfree CLP! And in a few yrs. they'll find another new product. No big! I will go with no one product can Clean, Lube, and Preserve as well as 3 specific products. Lets face it. For your average trip to the range...

      I drilled to the proper depth then used end mill until the point marks were gone. Don't overthink it. The FC pins are critical. Not much else is .001 critical.

      Its all about removing material. Alot of ways to do it. Drill it out is quick and efficient. Then clean it up with an end mill bit. Double check your parallel travel, ensure the work doesn't walk when traversed left to right or fore and aft. Experiment with the first one then do the second...
