Emailed pics to the Surrey Infantry Museum. The volunteer that emailed back believes they are Regimental Association badges worn by former East Surrey Regiment soldiers in civilian clothes. I was hoping they were worn on uniforms but still cool with the rifles.

Google " Chinese sks survey". You can get an idea of when it was made by looking at dates of slight changes in manufacture listed on that site. This is assuming all factories made those changes during the same time period.

I know this is probably just the latest "gimmick" ammo, but was wondering if anyone has bought and tried it. It is not actually a poly case but a bullet made of metal powder/poly matrix in a brass case.
