      8 Days Transfer Pistol

      Monday submission is normally a Tuesday release. Easter, or not, unless that Monday is a holiday in which case you're looking at a Wednesday transfer date.

      Wilson Combat or Tripp Research are the way to go for 1911 .45 magazines. If you're looking for magazines for competition stick to 8 round magazines.

      Dan Wesson uses a series 70 firing system so it has neither the series 80, or Swarts safety. They also use all forged parts that are hand fitted. They are probably the finest production 1911 on the market today.

      I'm sure there is but it may cost more than it did 8 years ago. George sold the patent (just as he did FP10) and I haven't found another source. That said... FP10 is still good stuff.

      my Dan Wessons came with little bottles of FP10 and recommendations to run them wet. I use Weapon Shield and FP10 mostly. I do use grease on loose guns.

      Yup... Glock 41 5.31inch barrel good to go. Bill Wilson owns IDPA. He would never disallow standard size 1911s from his game when his income is largely from sales of them. Only thing to worry about is weight. If it's under 43oz you're good.

      Thinking about a 10mm pistol. What are your favorites?

      I've got some 10s, and here are my thoughts. I bought a G40 put a 6moa RMR on it and ring 8x11 steel at 100 yards if I do my part. Great for ranch hunting, and can hunt deer in MD with the right loads. Bought a Springfield Armory 5in TRP just because i found a killer deal and 1911s are cool...

      I talked to one of these fellas a couple weeks ago. He was telling me the dog is trained to alert on cleaning chemicals used on firearms as well as gunpowder in ammunition. He stated that once the dog alerts he calls county police. He says the mall owner Simon Company has said only on duty law...
