Here’s one from Larry Potterfield. The mark novak video is part of a lArger project/conservation and I don’t have time to scrub through his catalog and find it but I recommend anyone that loves these old guns should watch his videos.
Here’s the one from Larry...
Toothpicks can work but not well and are not considered a repair. Although this is a common approach it is not the best way. No offense to anyone that goes this route. The wooden dowel patch doesn’t take too long and will give you a much more durable solution and will actually help preserve...
Drill it out with a slightly oversized drill bit. Find a similar piece of wood and make a dowel or buy a dowel (NOT a cheap pine dowel) and use wood glue and patch the resulting hole with the appropriate dowel. Trim, sand, redrill.
Mark Novak has a video of him doing this repair on his...
I have the following for sale. All are in like new condition, I am the original owner. They have not been fired and come with factory box and all the paperwork, etc. I am NOT a MD resident so these will either have to be shipped to your FFL or I can meet and do the transfer anywhere from the...
It’s a tool brother. It’s going to get scratches and dents. It you wanted a shrine, get a display case dedicated for it and you won’t have as much risk of scratching it.

I miss my home state. I grew up fishing...
Maybe. Though snipers have effectively suppressed the movements of trained military units with well-aimed rifle fire using a bolt gun. I would think in that instance, regardless of your engagement philosophy, cover and concealment would be paramount. Alas, a bumpfire stock undermines that...
There is very little crossover from true traditional shooting and shooting a compound. Each have their own intracacies, fundamentals, and technique. You'll find that most shooters pick one or the other as their "primary" archery discipline. Some compound shooters will dabble in traditional...
Full-Auto offers less than ideal accuracy.
Full-Auto with a gimmick (like the push/pull arrangement on a slidefire) delivers (arguably) less precise downrange performance.
In a SHTF scenario, where ammo will be quite precious even for those with the foresight to accumulate it in quantity...
Unfortunately, he seems to ascribe his stance on guns more on the tradition of hunting. The second amendment isn't about shooting ducks. Granted, I appreciate the sentiment. I just wish we could have asserted his point without sugar-coating it under the guise of hunting to make it more...
