I came seeking knowledge of a new gun and found so much more. I’ve met some of the best people I know right here on this forum thanks to Don. The Delmarva shoots, SoMD meet and greets and just hanging out and listening to old Navy stories were always full of belly laughs and good times.

Tired of 300 blk cases landing neck down in your casefeeder tube? Here's a quick fix I came up with.
I just cut a paperclip in half, shaped it into a "lazy" L, so it would ride just under the plate and attached it with small binder clip for quick removal.
Works pretty well for me. :)...
Mostly for the lighter recoil. It feels like more of a push, rather than a snappy type of recoil. Bullet weight goes up, powder load goes down. You can load 2,100+ rounds with one bottle of TG at this powder weight. Makes IDPA power factor in my barrels. It's also subsonic if you use a...
Usually Federal, Winchester or Fiocchi. Standard Sm Pistol primers. Whatever is available. I've never tried Remington.
Always with 147gr Plated RN over 3.3gr Titegroup.
It'd have to be. My chamfer is so slight, I missed it the first 2 times trying to find it.
Come to think of it, I've never used factory ammo, ever, in my 92. I most likely haven't had the cratering due to my powder puff loads.
Well I'll be damned. upon closer inspection, there is a very slight chamfer around the hole. Learn something new every day.
Here's a better pic showing firing pin fully protruded.
Just checked my M9A1. I guess there is no chamfer on this model. Firing pin hole is cylindrical and the pin fills the hole when engaged. (Shown retracted in pic.)
Hole measures out to approx. .0835"
Depends on if you mind greasy fingers or not. I tumble after sizing. You'll get a dozen different answers from as many people.
I personally don't care about shiny cases, so the NuFinish I cannot comment on.
I've got an M9A1 and have a love/hate relationship with it. These are my personal observations about the M9A1 model only.
PROS:
Pretty damn accurate. Repeatable groups, even with the wide gap in the rear sight which makes it a bit easier to acquire your target.

Being just a bit taller than average (6'-1"), I went with a 42"height.
I can stand without bending over (back issues) or sit at the bench comfortably (with my legs under the bench) from a tall stool for up close work.
