      Looking for a compact handgun

      I have both an XDS 3.3" .45acp and a Shield .45acp.... I shoot both pretty well but prefer the shield over the xds... Personal preference is the grip and the way the weapon fits my hand. I have over 5K rounds thru the xds and 600 thru the shield. both have been flawless with various types...

      S&W M&P Shield 9mm for $244 after rebate

      Looking at some of the adds I have seen online the prices are not really saving you much. You still need to send in to S&W from what I can tell for the rebate. 2A had my .45 for $20 more than one of the online adds. I would rather eat that $20 with a local gun shop and help keep them in business!

      Not with the Nine MM but I do with the .45 Shield. It is an excellent shooter and is more forgiving then my XDS.

      Phoenix HP22a

      Mine is over 20 years old. I bought it for $75 from the old True Value Hardware that was in the Chartley Shopping Center in Reisterstown. I use it still, to kill groundhogs (that have been trapped). It has always been an accurrate little pistol.

      Laurel PD does them as well... I got the wife to finish her permit process while on Vacation last year in Fl. Went to the local Sheriff office and had live scan done. Dropped everything in PO box in Fl and she had her permit in 3 weeks.

      CCW: Cargo pants/shorts

      LCP in front pocket in a desantis pocket holster. Sometimes in a wallet holster. Never carry in the cargo pocket. For me it tends to flop around in the larger cargo pocket and not stay in a drawble position. Prefer carrying my M&P9C or my XDS .45 IWB with a t shirt to cover instead.

      Help ID'ing a scrape

      There was a bear seen in the senior community off of Montgomery Rd near Marshalee Drive. It ran thru the woods toward the power lines. It had also been seen in the Rockburn Park area.
