I saw a few guys with that sterno setup out in the field a few months ago and they seemed happy with them but I didn't get to play with it. I'd be interested to know if you could fit trangia in there. I made the switch away from canister stoves a few years ago and I don't think I'll go back.
I have one. The only things I have done are a safety delete, Aimpoint Pro, brace kit from Sig, and a SBX brace. I have put a few hundred rounds through it without any issues, maybe I will look at triggers some day but I don't really think it needs it. Still thinking about a Yetiwurks everest...
I didn't know about the suppressor issues but the reasons the guy from Military Arms Channel talked about were pretty much the deal breakers for me back when I was deciding on 9mm rifle/pistol. The MPX mag costs that will probably never get that cheap, AR style charging handle, and gas system...
I wouldn't say it is any better than a 9mm AR pistol. I was actually looking into building a 9mm AR until I saw the MPX and Scorpion were about to come out. To me it came down to the fact that I would rather have a weapons system designed for 9mm than cobbling together a gun with a extra lower...
Thanks, CZ sells a adapter/tube kit at their online store for like $80. It is a SBX brace with a phase 5 kryptek strap, only reason I went with that strap was I accidentally threw away the original with the brace box and it was the only replacement strap I could find online.
This is my "pistol" set up for home defense, if someone were too place it in their shoulder it would feel very solid while easy to maneuver in tight spaces.
I have a hill people gear kitbag that I use when hiking, I keep random gear in there that I want to have quick access to when I have my pack on(snacks, gps, etc). When I was shopping for it I was stuck between the kitbag and the kifaru koala but I decided that I didn't want too big of a bag on...
Just had a conversation with my brother about this gun. Without a stock there probably isn't much difference in capability compared to a handgun and probably worse performance because it is weird to hold a gun like that. In SBR form or in pseudo SBR(sig brace) form then you get an easy...
I'm not putting down hk or trying to argue that they are equal quality guns. I would expect most things from hk to be very well made. My issue was with your rebuttal since some of the claims you made didn't make sense and seemed more fanboy than fact. I am still looking into getting a vp9.
Read this thread because I was interested in vp9s but I can't agree with a lot of the points you just made.
- First, how does breadth and scope of business determine the level of a gun? If anything it would be quality of the firearm, by just selling the most volume that makes hks several...
This guy did a 3 part series on them, I would suggest if you are thinking of using RIP ammo you should watch all three and draw your own conclusions. If you read the comments and google around, he pissed off some of the round's supporters.
