Thanks!!! I was shooting at 700 yds in that photo with my Rem 700 in 300 win mag. I can't wait for summer to get here that's for sure...
If you look on the right hand corner of the photo you can see the white dot that I'm shooting at.
I have one and it's a very nice shooting gun and really does not have a lot of recoil. The only complaint is that the laser is hard to turn on and off.
Here is my Savage and +1 on the accu trigger. As far as cleaning every 10 rounds i notice on paper it holds tighter groups if I clean it regularly. If I let it get too dirty good luck getting a bore snake through it.
I do know a guy that hunts on the runway of Dulles airport to keep the deer off and they will only let him use a 22mag. So I guess that is about the only legal example I can think of. Other than that use a larger caliber and make a humane kill.
My friends son uses a .223 to hunt with and if he does not put a good shot on it, makes for a long day of tracking. We are trying to get him comfortable with at least a .243. Would rather be safe and ethical and use a larger cal.
