Yeah i know the 9" is supposed to be cake but setting up ring and pinion has always fallen under one of those things that i feel better paying someone else to do with the more art than science aspect.
I have a 78 F150 that needs new gearing in the rear (ford 9") due to a royal POS previous mechanic. Can anybody recommend a good mechanic on in the Salisbury area?
interesting read. My concern would be the warning about aluminum as the Mite uses aluminum and metallurgy is not a subject I can knowledgeably speak on.
No problem. i can tell you that tip has been like discovering sliced bread. The first time i got the mite seized up was a nightmare but hasn't happened since i started using the grease.
Alphabrew. I have the Mite also and a little trick that Mike from Mid County taught me was to coat the baffle with grease, Mobil 1 synthetic is what he recommended and what i have used on mine for 6yrs or so, it keeps the baffle from getting stuck to the housing and is immensely easier to clean...
Ive had one for about a year now on my 10/22 and have done a couple Appleseeds with it. Its a nice scope for the money. The only down side is its a bit on the heavy side but i would definitely buy another one.
