      Legal to resell ammunition?

Thanks. No, not prohibited persons. I am actually taking stock right now and I have more ammo than I thought . . . :innocent0 . . so more than a couple of cases. Is there any quantity limit? Also, any issues across state lines (friend in VA)? I am thinking about moving and movers won't ship...

      Legal to resell ammunition?

I am thinking of reselling some ammunition that I will not be shooting to a friend. We are both MD residents. Quantity is likely to be between one and two cases. Does anyone know of any legal prohibitions? Would it be different if I sold it to a friend who lives in VA? I've done a search in...

1911 grip screw won't stay in

Many thanks. Good ideas -- I will follow up. And put the JB Weld away. Will check for counterbore.

1911 grip screw won't stay in

Took grips off. There are no bushings, on the frame or attached to the screws. Torx screws screw directly into the frame. That's it. There are no threads on the frame, just simple holes. Rather than furnishing two undersized screws, it may be that that that particular hole in the frame is a...

1911 grip screw won't stay in

There is no bushing on the screws of these grips, only torx screws. The grips are these: http://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/grip-parts/grips/1911-auto-ultra-slim-titanium-grips-prod27494.aspx. I assume there must be threads in the receiver, but as the grips are in place, can't see them...

1911 grip screw won't stay in

Aftermarket titanium grips with torx screws on a Springfield 1911. One keeps popping loose. I got a replacement from the mfr, and installed it with some blue loctite, but the screw is just too small for the hole -- and came out again. Not sure where to go next. JB Weld?

      1911 disassembly problem

Thanks all. The solution proved to be easier in the cold hard light of morning. 1) Slide upper back onto lower. No need to put the slide stop back in through that obnoxious loop. 2) When assembled, guide rod is not free to turn. It is now possible to get sufficient tension to use allen...

      1911 disassembly problem

Went to clean my Springfield Operator 1911 after a day at the range today and can't turn the barrel bushing for removal. This is because the guide rod is sticking out flush with the barrel bushing. The guide rod is a two piece with a slot for an allen wrench. Efforts with allen wrench are...

Where will the court challenge come from?

True, a referendum does not decide legality or constitutionality. Further given that most of the population in Maryland is urban, most Marylanders don't own guns, and non-gun owners remain as confused about this issue as ever (e.g., what is an "assault weapon"? is there, as an anti posted...

Where will the court challenge come from?

It's clear to me that the next step in this process will be the courts. Who will be organizing that lawsuit? And how do we sign up to support that effort?

FVCK THE STATE OF MARYLAND AND THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY....

The problem is that being a delegate is a three month job with a $40K salary. Many people can't live on the salary and have problems finding a day job that lets them take three months off.

      *OFFICIAL* 3/29 Thread

That's good to know -- and worth verifying -- but it doesn't negate the main point. They are holding up victims of "gun violence" as a human shield as if they have a privileged position among victims and should be able to dictate gun policy; and some of the victims do this themselves. People...

Sure. No deadly force is warranted to defend against rape, because it's all over in 30 seconds. We should show this ad EVERYWHERE. Why? Because their position is based on the idea that 1) no one has the right to use deadly force, and 2) it is worse to be murdered by being shot than by being...
