List of NOT BANNED assault style weapons

I had questions about my SKS that i modified (legally of course) and i got multiple answers from multiple MD State LEO's. Even they don't know.

      30 round magazine

I see, well anyways, i appreciate your courtesy and help in the matter.

      30 round magazine

Under CURRENT law (pre 10/31/13) am i legally allowed to "own" a 30 round magazine? Assuming the answer is YES, then after that date i should be able to take it to the range and use it, correct? That is if it were owned leagally prior. I believe i just can't buy, sell, or transport, but if...

      Need some help

The regulated list states an SKS with a detachable magazine. It makes no distinction between duckbill or any other type, that i can tell. If you have access to information that states otherwise i'd like to see it.

      Need some help

I agree with that, its just that like having 10 LEO's give 20 answers, i'd hate to come upon one at the range who has his own interpretation which allows him to take possesion of my weapon until i prove otherwise. It's too bad we are even at this point in the USA. I think what i'll do is take...

      Need some help

Yeah, i understand there are many that feel like you do but thats not what i was asking, i have fired this many times no jambs, works well, and happens to be my preference. Anyone know the answer?

      Need some help

I purchased a stock Chinese SKS from a friend. Since then i have added a tapco stock and a 20 round detachable magazine, currently legal under Md law for the time being. I also met the 922 regs having no more then 10 of the 14 parts remaining foreign made. I want to be able to use this gun at...

The final SB 281: A detailed summary for non-lawyers

Right, However the point is did we "lawfully" own the weapon on the banned list prior to 10-1-13 and since I changed out my stock SKS with a 20round detachable mag (not to mention the scary hand grip and muzzle brake) I made it a "regulated" assult weapon (by their terms not mine)...

The final SB 281: A detailed summary for non-lawyers

Thanks for all your work, as a follow up to my other post on your previous post because I purchased a stock SKS, then afterwards added a synthetic stock with a detachable 20 rd magazine (which now makes it a regulated rifle) I spoke with someone at the MSP who advised I should bring the gun to...

SB 281: A summary of some key provisions as passed by the House

That's what I want to know, if it was owned legally prior to can I still keep it? I bought 4 more just because.

SB 281: A summary of some key provisions as passed by the House

Great Idea, I'm on it! I just didn't want to open a can of worms for myself by calling the MSP and saying hey I built this rifle is it or can I make it legal just for them to say No, now lets have it! Wat pisses me off is that the purpose of the 2nd amendment was that Government could not do...

SB 281: A summary of some key provisions as passed by the House

Thanks, That's what I was wondering, if you did the buildout at home then you didn't really "purchase it" that way, but can I still just go to the MSP and fill out the form 77r W/O a FFD? Then that way I will be good to go and if a 77r is filed then they already know about it anyway

SB 281: A summary of some key provisions as passed by the House

I still have ALL the originial parts so technically I could put it back in all of 10 minutes and be legal once again, but I like the way it looks now better. Anyway what part of SHALL NOT INFRINGE don't these people get? Just saying?

SB 281: A summary of some key provisions as passed by the House

Interested point. I see that my SKS is now a regulated assult weapon since I have put a detachable 20rd magazine on it (not to mention the pistol grip) but this was done AFTER I purchased it and put a tapco stock on it. I am 922r compliant as I've replaced more then the required amount of parts...

SB 281: A summary of some key provisions as passed by the House

Sorry to sound dense, but what 77R? I have a Tactical SKS purchased from a good friend of mine last year...is there something I'm missing? I didn't think I needed anything more then a handwritten bill of sale? NO?
