Hopefully the governor has someone in the pipeline to replace Jurgena. I am not happy about only having 4 members on the board.

I know the difference. Do you think the Dems hoard their money? If so you live in Fantasyland. If you wish to continue this, start another thread. I'm done with going off topic.

Then don't make stupid comparisons and we won't have to go off topic.

Agreed it's a small win but I suspect it could be temporary until next session.

Hogan really needs to be asked about this and let the public know where he stands (even though I doubt he will).

You just have to know that Mike & Mike will be closely watching the boards decisions. If there is an uptick in reversals over the historical past, that will be used to make the case next session for the MGA in one way or another to take control of the board.

I do not even think it will take then watching over the board. As we have seen in this session and in past sessions, the MGA will move to remove or restrict the number of appointees that the Governor can make.

I would think M&M are already working on amending the current legislation about the HPRB and will move for a restructuring:

    5 person board with
    2 appointees from MGA
    2 appointees from Governor's office
1 appointee from either the AG's office /Police Training Commission

Of course they could just abolish the board and set up an administrative law judge to hear the initial appeals (sort of what SSA does for denied claims).

No matter what, I believe that the MGA will be following the actions of the HPRB a bit more closely and be working to bring it 'back into the fold'.

Friendly: describing candidate with high security clearance, the men and women on the board are applying the law. But they look at other info that has been gathered that was not seen earlier. Jurgena has been there 11months

Michael Hough (Friendly) is my state Senator who I have been in communication with since the initial delay of my permit. He is awesome and has been a tremendous asset. I assume this is me he is referring to which puts a smile on my face.

Ideally, someone on the MSI board of directors. If the MGA wants to have a pillow-fight wielding a pillowcase full of rocks, Hogan needs to fill his with nails.

NO!. Keep the organizations out of it. Let's get a regular Joe with strong, constitutional common sense.

I agree. But since there have been NO board minutes taken and published until the current full board was seated, one overturn of an MSP LD denial would be an uptick in the trend.

I'd love to see the ladies go "full-throated Constitutional" now that they've been confirmed. Perhaps that was what they've been waiting for. Only time will tell.

Please see my post. Because you dont seem to know there is a difference between the 2 sets of money, IE Fed vs State. If someone isnt paying attention to the flow of money they wont know how effective my plan is. If you dont know the laws regarding the contributions then seeing that Steny has that money looks intimidating, but his money is worthless to the state level anti's. Heck even to go after Steny we would have to start a federal PAC, a state PAC cant; just like he cant help anyone we go after. I have described it several times. I have informed you of what both parties expect to raise. I have informed you of the typical amount of money raised by candidates, and I have explained how this will change many elections. This is how we change this state. I cant make anyone listen, nor can I make anyone participate. But this is the only path forward.

We cant sit on the sidelines hoping that someone else will change things for us. Its time to get off the sidelines and put our money where our mouths are and change some elections. We do this and we are no longer considered meaningless to any elected official. We will drive this conversation the way we want and we will change Maryland for the better.

Recently, Richard Jurgena stopped by the Patriot Picket at the Statehouse to express his support, and to tell us not to let up.

Owing to his pending confirmation battle we kept the visit low key and quietly snapped a pic. He simply asked us to sit on the photo until his fate was known. Today, he was victimized by Sen. Ratskin's McCarthy tactics. We can share this photo now and say we are proud to stand with him wherever the fight takes us.

We congratulate you Richard Jurgena for not hiding the 2A light under your cowboy hat. You are a great American!
