So who said that W&W would change after they were approved by the Senate? We all just need to be patient, day 1 is almost upon us!

The HPRB members have only been approved by the MD Senate Executive Nominations Committee.

The full Senate still needs to vote on the recommendations of the committee.

Would the DPSCS or MSP losing one's records or file be cause for concern? There is confidential information in the application and supporting documentation. Who is to say the file was lost and not stolen?

If any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) was lost from an IT system, it is a potential Disclosure/Loss of Control, and therefore must be reported to DHS (US CERT) for investigation. :D

They mentioned it (I think I heard). If the MSP doesn't even have to provide the specific reason the applicant was denied,..why should they get any time to review any proof the other way?

Plus the whole 6 days notice to prepare your things ********. Listen folks,....

    IT'S NOT THIS DIFFICULT! :(

It is if you want ANY successful shot at a permit award/grant. You know that as well as I do.

I can appreciate that is the board's task. I just don't see how they can come to a meaningful decision in the small amount of time they allot themselves to hear and vote on an appeal. It is small wonder they tend to rubber stamp the MSP's decisions.

But they don't any more. And that's what annoyed the Bolsheviks at the Confirmation Hearing above.

    I'm talking about the HPRB/MSP.

This entire process is being made WAY too ridiculous. I'm saying they should do their fvcking jobs and quit dicking around with people. It's like they get some kind of enjoyment out of it.

The word you should use is ONEROUS. That describes the greased pig chase better. I agree with you completely. On all points.

Jokes about tabs aside, no one should have to write a tome or speak legalize to justify issuance. The complexity of this process boggles the mind.

 Agreed. I am sure that was always part of the plan - make it as complicated and confusing as possible and thereby dissuade honest, law abiding people from trying to navigate the process, and its only getting worse.

Don't follow this thread but just dropped by here after seeing a reference to the piece below elsewhere. I don't have access to the Daily Record, but here is the start of the piece, fyi and for whoever does.:

" Md. senators worried panel becoming ‘handgun assistance board’

By: Bryan P. Sears Daily Record Government Reporter March 29, 2016
ANNAPOLIS — Five of Gov. Larry Hogan's appointments to the Maryland Handgun Permit Review Board have a number of Democratic legislators expressing concerns the panel will be more receptive to approving conceal-carry permits. The Senate Executive Nominations Committee voted Monday to approve four appointments to the board — Jacques R. Cowan, Richard Lee Jurgena, Patricia S. ...

Thanks. I am not a cat person, but this little guy had a personality. He was a rescue reject my wife brought home from Animal Rescue where she volunteers every week. She doesn't have the stomach for the hard decisions, but after a full night at the ER this was a no brainer. Major head trauma. I would have had him put down immediately, but by the time I got there they had him stabilized in a vegetative state and were predicting 50/50. Of course survival would come with a lack of quality of life and likely pain. I hope someone has the strength if I ever wind up in that situation. He was a good cat, and we gave him a good home. Stopped digging when it got dark. Now I am celebrating Leo's life. Cheers.
