Really depends on the model. The Stack-On Total Defense is 12 gauge steel, which isn't much, but it's a lot better than the 16 gauge steel you find on their cabinets. The lower-to-mid-end Liberty safes that I see held up in comparison as "much better" than the Stack-Ons are 11 gauge, which is like .015 inch more of steel.Stack-On are usually more of a locker than a safe.

Were either of you able to buy a safe? I went in today trying to buy one and they told me they arent selling them at the sale price until tomorrow and its first come first serve. wtf, it was in the weekly flyer. This was at frederick dicks.Yea I saw that. I'm picking mine up at lunch today.
Unless they have changed company policy, Dicks should let you order the safe in store at the BF price and get free shipping to the store. That's how I bought mine a couple of years ago.
Lucky you, I tried this method. But now if you try to order online you have to ship it. And it says for in-store purchase only
