Just picked up a gen 2 sub 2K on a lark at one of my LGSs. Build quality isn't bad. Crazy how small this thing is. Functioned flawlessly at my top secret proving ground. From 115-147g fmj, also put a few hydroshoks and black tallons through it. Fed well with factory G19 magazines, glock 18 factory 33rd and kci mags. Magpul GL-9 magazine was a very tight fit. I'd think they would need a bit of attention from a dremel tool.

This thing is a riot to shoot and reasonably accurate considering the sights. I think it may be the new truck gun.

Have you shot a gen 1? How do they compare?

I have not. I understand the gen 2 has several upgrades like a threaded barrel and such, id love to get them side by side.

The bottom rail may be handy for a VFG or AFG, but putting an optic on the top rail would keep it from folding completely. That would defeat the purpose for me. Maybe some kind of ofset mount might work.

Driving around with it open on your front seat.

    You, Sir, are my hero.

I don't take it for granted. Took the first half of my life to realize that the second half would be better spent in America. I think about it every morning when i step out side.

It takes Glock 19 mags? I picked one up that came with a magpul 17 rounder and it looked like something smaller might not fit

They make Glock 19 and Glock 17 variants. Note the size of your grip compared to his. Maybe you needed to compensate for something... ;-)

    The 9mm SUB-2000™ can be configured in the following magazine types: GLK17, GLK19, S&W59, BERETTA92, SIG226. [source]

Well my wife says it's just the right size :o :D

Yes, I chose the G19 variant since my EDC is a G19. The grip is noticeably shorter.

Ah I didn't realize they had Glock 19 variants. The guy at the store I bought it from said it should take the 19 mags but when I got it home I was scratching my head wondering how!

Big fan of my Gen 2. It took me a while to dial in the sights, but I've got it pretty well on at 25 yards with 115 grain. Shooting 125 grain has no noticeable difference for me at that distance, but 147 dropped pretty hard at 25 yards.

While still not commonly found, they must be easier to locate than the gen1. I told a friend how I had snagged one from an IP via a forum post within a few minutes. Hes not an mds member, but he asked me for the phone number of the ffl where I got it as he had been searching for one for a couple years. He called them up last week and they happened to have another one in and he got it :D

Indeed. Because they were so rare The gen 1s were selling used for upwards of $600. Gen 2s go for just over half of that.

I think it needs more time out in the desert tomorrow.:D:innocent0:party29:

Gen2s are selling for 4-500 new around here.

I heard there was a g17 and g19 version. I'm glad I got the g19 bc it makes the entire package a tad smaller with the shorter grip as well as the ability to accept g19, g17, 33rd, and drum mags. With the g17 version you can't use the g19 mags bc they're too short.
