Same for me. Applied 12/3, Approved 12/5, Received card in mail today.

I applied on 11/14, took until 12/4 to be approved and have yet to receive my card. I will be calling tomorrow. :sad20:

Edit: Called MSP and they said the card was approved on the 4th, took 6 days to go to their mailroom (12/10) and I should wait until the end of this week. Now past 30 days from application to my future reception of my card to exercise my rights.

Livescan and submittal of application from "Worth a Shot" in Millersville the day before Thanksgiving, training exempt and serial# provided.

    I'm a Md. Designated Collector and a C&R holder.

As of today, still pending online
Received a letter dated Dec. 1 stating no criminal record was found and that the fingerprint check had been initiated.

I just received my card yesterday. Applied 11/17, approved 12/6, card arrived 12/15.

Looks like I may be in that time frame as well :mad54: It's more annoying that 6 items were knocked out day 1 and there's been no activity since (9 days). What's even more annoying is that what's left is LiveScan, CJIS, JIS and NICS; LiveScan and CJIS were the first 2 things I did. How is that incomplete? Not sure what the holdup with JIS is, but the "I" in NICS stands for INSTANT. It's ironic, ridiculous and sad that this is one of the things holding me up.

There's been arsenals that have changed hands in Baltimore City during this time and yet, here I sit, a law abiding citizen, who couldn't legally defend himself in his own home if he had to.

I'm sick of MD...sorry for the rant but I had to get that out.

    *UPDATE*

    Application/License Fee Completed 12.12
Everything except DJS and DHMH has been completed 12.17

No DJS for me, I am over 30.
As for DHMH, I do not know what to say about that... My health and mental hygiene seem to be in check.

I will let everyone know when I clear online, and when I receive my physical license.

What hung me up for weeks was the CJIS / JIS search. I am still pissed off with this whole ********. If it weren't for the HK Days Rebate program going on, I would of never got a stupid HQL card.

Also I will add the I have over 20 regulated purchases in the last 20 years and I do not have a criminal history. I am also a stamp owner.

WTF??? I submitted mine the 9th. What the hell could be holding it up? From what I understand, there's no grey area. You are either qualified according to their explicity stated bs laws, or you're not. According to the letter of the law, I'm qualified to purchace, rent, or receive a damn handgun....now give it to me.

My poor Glock-19 has been calling my name for two weeks now :mad54:

I submitted mine on 12/3 and everything but the CJIS was approved by 12/5. I am still waiting for the CJIS to get approved. I submitted training, previously purchased regulated firearms, and I have a security clearance. I am pretty sure my CJIS is clean, but I am still waiting. I hope it takes more than 30 days because then I will show up to their office and ask why it took so long and see what the response is.

    That is sad FederalIFF :(

Made the correction. I saw a Glock 19 not a 14. I do not even know if they make a 14, but am almost positive I will get a Glock.

Engage has a special one from Vickers.
There are only 2500 of them made so go get yours now. I was not impressed, but what do I know, I do not even have 1 handgun.

But this will all change soon...

Best of luck on your process.

Yeah it really is, and I too have a Glock waiting for my HQL to go thru. I bought it 12/3 from a buddy thus the reason for getting an HQL, and it is sitting in the gunshop waiting for my HQL to go thru. Does this count as my 7 day waiting period!? LOL.

The frustrating thing is when you receive the letter from CJIS that states no criminal record was found, yet the MDSP checklist still reads as incomplete. It's almost like it's intentionally ignored to slow the process down. I'm still stuck on NICS, CJIS, and JIS. Never been arrested, charged, or convicted of anything...so what is the hold up Maryland?
