The new RIP (Radically Invasive Projectile) round in 9mm. See it to believe it. Not yet illegal in Maryland. :)

    Watch THIS.

Dont waste your time and money on it. Its essentially a fragmenting round. Forget the proper term for it but its for use on close range steel targets reducing the risk of ricochets. Just use a standard JHP.

    Frangible.

It will do a lot of tissue damage, in theory. What it will not do, IMO, is transfer energy into tissues and ultimately into the central nervous system. What actually drops an attacker is the CNS getting overwhelmed and short circuiting. People can take minutes to hours to bleed out. They are still a threat while they do.

It WILL transfer energy into tissue. The energy doesn't simply disappear the issue is that instead of a singular projectile traveling along a path and retaining most of its energy you have multiple smaller projectiles losing (proportionally) much larger portions of its energy. The other issue is that handguns suck. Theres a very basic limit in how much energy you can pack into a pistol cartridge and still retain the hand held facet and controllability. Theres only one way to get a one shot stop and that is severing the connection between the spinal cord and the brain. Instant light switch.

Not true, Mopar. Not true at all. The energy wave needs to be concentrated. When a bullet breaks apart, the energy goes in different directions. It's weakened. Google "Courtney and Courtney - ballistics". Best source out there, IMO

Loosen the chaps...better blood flow...clearer thinking...

Didn't mopar start a thread over the summer about REALLY liking men in assless chaps??? I'm sure glad I don't wear chaps, 'speshally assless. :lol2:
